We like to think that eating High Road ice cream is like being a chef without working the shift.

Our founders, Keith Schroeder, James beard Award-winning Chef and author, and wife Nicki, started High Road as a culinary partnership shared with back-of-house friends and culinary pros. We soon realized that as High Road grew, the team preferred a bigger table to gather. The good stuff we make is inspired by the most delicious ingredients and welcoming people from kitchens and farms around the world.
Today, we have a team of over 100 people representing over 20 countries in two plants. We’re passionate about mind-blowing flavor combos and ingredients that celebrate people, places and cultures.
We do what we do because life’s good stuff should be enjoyed by all.

Private Label Product Innovation

We started with chefs, and now produce many award-winning private label products for retailers across the nation. With our team of R&D chefs and operations gurus, we work from start to finish on new product development and design in lock-step with our retailer partners.

Yes, we said that. Since we make everything from scratch, our capabilities stretch far and wide. We formulate ice cream, soft serve, custard, and gelato mixes, innovate in the novelty space, and craft some amazing small (and large) batch flavors for our Chef and Category Manager partners across this fine nation. Our products are all-natural, and made from scratch and made to save you time and money and THAT’S superhero stuff right there. We are the only craft ice cream maker at scale in the US. Our culinary pros make tons (literally) of our brown butter caramel, cookies, brownies, candied nuts, and jammy fruit in our kitchen.
